It is believed that by keeping both the body and mind pure and worshipping the Guru on this day, one receives special spiritual merit. Therefore, activities such as cutting hair and nails are considered auspicious to postpone until the following day.

On the day of Guru Purnima, take a bath in the morning and wear yellow or clean clothes. Show respect to your Guru, parents, or teachers and seek their blessings. Worship Lord Vishnu, Devguru Brihaspati, and Maharishi Ved Vyasa. Donating yellow-coloured items, food grains, or clothes to the needy is also considered highly auspicious. Along with this, chanting the mantra “Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu…” brings mental peace and positive energy.
