New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu on Monday expressed her grief at the deaths in a road accident in Maharashtra and offered her condolences to the bereaved families.
Four women and four children were killed on Sunday when a pick-up vehicle carrying them plunged into a roadside well in Malshiras tehsil in Solapur district of Maharashtra. Seven persons were injured in the incident.
“The news of the deaths of people in a vehicle accident in Solapur district of Maharashtra is extremely sad. I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the swift recovery of the injured,” Murmu said in a post on X in Hindi.
