Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accompanied by his wife and MLA Kalpana Soren, visited the historic Maa Deori Temple in Tamar on Saturday and offered prayers for the happiness, prosperity, well-being, and progress of the people of the state.

The worship ceremony was conducted in accordance with established customs amid the chanting of Vedic mantras by priest Manoj Panda and chief pahan Sukhram.
During the visit, the couple bowed before the deity and sought blessings for peace, harmony, and development across the state. The temple complex witnessed a significant gathering of devotees and local villagers who arrived after learning about the chief minister’s visit.

Speaking after the prayers, Hemant Soren highlighted the importance of Jharkhand’s rich cultural and religious heritage, describing it as an integral part of the state’s identity. He said that Maa Deori temple holds immense spiritual significance for devotees and attracts people from different regions.
“The moment one enters the Maa Deori temple complex, a sense of positive energy is felt throughout the surroundings,” the chief minister said.
The programme concluded with the chief minister interacting with local residents and devotees present at the temple premises.
