Ranchi: Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University (DSPMU) will organise its third convocation ceremony on September 24, with Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Dr Raghesh Mohan, a member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, scheduled to inaugurate the event.
A total of 6,415 students will be awarded degrees at the convocation, including 3,065 male and 3,350 female students. The ceremony will cover postgraduate students from two sessions and undergraduate students from one session.
As many as 142 gold medals will also be presented to meritorious students. Of these, 93 will be awarded to female students and 49 to male students. The university will also confer 20 PhD degrees during the ceremony.
Notably, postgraduate students of the 2024–26 session will also receive their degrees at the convocation. The examination department has played a key role in completing the academic and examination processes required for the ceremony.
