Woman found dead at marital home

Thiruvananthapuram: A 27-year-old woman was found dead at her marital home near Vizhinjam, police said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred two days after the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary, police said.

The woman’s father-in-law found her hanging in her room on Tuesday evening and called the police, an officer of the Vizhinjam police station said.

The officer said that a case of unnatural death had been registered and further details would be known after the magisterial inquest and postmortem.

The woman’s in-laws and husband claimed there were no issues between the couple, police said.
