Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and prayed for peace and prosperity in everyone’s life.
Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated with traditional fervour across Jharkhand amid heightened security.
“May Lord Shri Ganesh bestow happiness, peace, and prosperity in everyone’s life and remove all obstacles, making life auspicious,” Gangwar posted on X.
The major puja committees started opening their pandals for devotees from Sunday evening.
“Heartfelt greetings to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi—the festival dedicated to worshipping Lord Shri Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the bestower of auspiciousness,” Jharkhand CM wrote on X.
He said, “May Lord Shri Ganesh remove all impediments and hurdles from everyone’s life and bless us with happiness, peace, prosperity, and success. May love, harmony, and joy prevail among all—this is my heartfelt wish.”
Jharkhand police made adequate security arrangements in major puja pandals in Ranchi and other cities of the state, including Dhanbad and Jamshedpur, a police official said.
