Healthcare services at Sadar hospitals across Jharkhand are set for a digital overhaul, with information on doctors, medicines, admissions and other facilities to be made available through online platforms and digital boards.
Health Minister Irfan Ansari on Tuesday launched the process of connecting Sadar hospitals across all districts through a common digital system. An MoU was signed with Roddik Company for implementing the initiative.
Under the proposed system, patients and their attendants will be able to access real-time information on doctors on duty, medicine availability and other essential services. The system will also enable health officials to monitor patient footfall, doctors’ attendance, admissions and discharges, surgeries and the availability of doctors and paramedical staff.
“Healthcare delivery is not limited to constructing hospitals and providing treatment. Providing patients with accurate information at the right time is equally important,” Ansari said.
The initiative, estimated to cost around Rs 99 crore, will be rolled out in phases. It aims to bring Sadar hospitals, primary health centres (PHCs), community health centres (CHCs), sub-divisional hospitals and medical colleges onto a common digital platform.
