Ranchi: Educational institutions across the city marked the 12th International Day of Yoga with active participation from students, teachers, and staff members.
Special yoga sessions, awareness programmes, competitions, and workshops were organised, highlighting the importance of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental wellbeing, and a balanced lifestyle.
Ranchi Schools Lead the Way with Active Asanas
St. Michael’s School celebrated the occasion with a special assembly and yoga demonstration, promoting mindfulness, positivity, and well-being. Yoga trainers led students through various asanas. Students also delivered speeches highlighting the history, significance, and benefits of yoga.
At Bridgeford School, students, teachers, and staff members participated in yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation sessions. Participants pledged to make yoga a regular part of their daily routine.
At St. Xavier’s School, students and teachers participated in the sessions aimed at spreading awareness about the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga. The school encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily lives to stay focused.
Kairali School organised a three-day celebration from June 18 till Saturday, based on the theme ‘yoga for healthy ageing’. The programme featured mass yoga demonstrations, painting competitions, quizzes, essay writing contests, and special workshops for teachers. Rise N Shine Playschool observed Yoga Day through a week-long campaign titled ‘yoga se hi hoga’ from June 15 to June 19.
Jharkhand Jaguar Joins Citywide Drive with Yoga Sessions
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Jaguar also organised a special yoga programme. Officers, police personnel, and staff members participated in yoga asanas and pledged to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
