Police have arrested Sawan Birhor for allegedly murdering his wife and mother-in-law following a family dispute at Purana Chatra Colony under Tatisilwaye police station limits on Saturday. According to police, Sawan attacked his wife, Manta Devi (30), and mother-in-law, Sonia Devi (50), with an iron rod.
Both women sustained serious injuries and later succumbed to their injuries at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). Sawan fled after the incident but was arrested by police on Sunday, officials confirmed.
