The Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) is planning to introduce an exposure-based learning tour for government school students across the state. The tour will provide students with opportunities to learn beyond the conventional classroom environment.
The exposure activities will cover areas such as science, environment, technology, culture, local heritage, governance and career awareness.
Shashi Ranjan, state project director at JEPC, said, “The exposure tour will enable students to learn through direct observation, interaction and practical experiences. Instead of learning through textbooks and classroom instruction, students will be able to understand how concepts are applied in real-world settings.”
Recent exposure visits organised with JEPC support have included educational visits to the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha and Deoghar Airport. These programmes provided students with firsthand exposure to democratic institutions and the aviation sector, respectively.
Fifty student leaders from seven schools across six blocks of Ranchi visited the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha. The students representing Bal Sansad, houses and students’ clubs learned about the functioning of the legislature, the Constitution, law-making procedures and the roles of elected representatives.
