The IndiaAI Mission, under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), has opened applications for three positions in its Future Skills programme, creating a rare opportunity for professionals looking to work at the intersection of government, artificial intelligence and digital-skills development.

The recruitment is being undertaken through Digital India Corporation (DIC) and includes one Manager – Future Skills position and two Assistant Manager – Future Skills positions. The roles are linked to the development and implementation of programmes aimed at strengthening India’s talent pipeline for emerging technologies.

Unlike conventional government recruitment, these positions are focused on the rapidly evolving AI and digital-technology ecosystem. They could be particularly relevant for professionals with experience in technology, education, skilling, programme management, digital initiatives or related areas who want to work on large-scale technology programmes.

Candidates applying for the posts must possess the relevant graduate or postgraduate qualification and professional experience prescribed for the respective position. Since the requirements can differ between the Manager and Assistant Manager roles, applicants should carefully examine the post-wise eligibility criteria before submitting their applications.

The Future Skills vertical is significant because IndiaAI is working to strengthen the country’s capabilities in artificial intelligence by supporting AI skills, talent development and wider adoption of emerging technologies. Professionals joining the programme could therefore get exposure to initiatives designed around the future workforce and India’s growing AI economy.

The positions also offer an alternative career route for technology and management professionals who want to work on public-sector digital transformation rather than conventional government administration.

The remuneration for the posts will be governed by IndiaAI/Digital India Corporation norms, with post-wise compensation specified in the recruitment notification. Candidates should refer to the official vacancy notice for the exact remuneration, experience requirements, selection process and other employment conditions.

Applications are being accepted through the MeitY vacancies portal, and the last date to apply is September 11, 2026.

With only three positions on offer, the recruitment is relatively small in number but significant in terms of the domain it represents. For professionals seeking to build a career around AI policy, technology programmes, future-skills development and India’s digital transformation, these positions offer an opportunity to work within one of the country’s most important emerging technology initiatives.
