The convoy carrying the mortal remains of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s mother, Rupi Soren, proceeded towards Nemra for her last rites on Thursday. The convoy was led by Deputy Commissioner Rituraj and Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat.
The convoy included people from different districts of Jharkhand as well as senior administrative officials. The Chief Minister’s convoy travelled ahead of the ambulance carrying his mother’s mortal remains, while a large number of people followed behind.
Since the news of Rupi Soren’s demise, a large number of people have been arriving to pay their last respects. Preparations for the final rites are now underway at Nemra.
