CBI arrests chief health inspector in bribery case

Ranchi: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday arrested Chandra Shekhar Gupta, railway’s chief health inspector posted at Bhojudih in Bokaro district in a bribery case. The CBI laid a trap to catch the accused red-handed while accepting undue advantage of Rs. 10,000 from the complainant.

The complainant had alleged that Gupta had demanded undue advantage of Rs 25,000 from him for sanction of medical leave. After the arrest, CBI conducted searches at the office and residential premises of the accused public servant.

He will be produced before the competent court in Dhanbad.
