The month of Sawan is considered special for the devotion of Lord Shiva. In such a situation, if you want to meditate on Mahadev at home along with visiting the temple, chanting Shiva mantras can be a simple religious practice. The special thing is that it does not require any difficult ritual; chanting with a calm mind, devotion and correct pronunciation is considered the most important. Know the 10 Shiva mantras.
How to Chant Mantras on Sawan Monday?
An easy method for chanting is to sit in a clean place after taking a bath in the morning. You can place a Shivling or a picture of Lord Shiva in front of you and light a lamp. After this, chant any one mantra according to your devotion. If you wish, you can also remember ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ while offering water. Devotees who chant with a rosary generally follow the tradition of repeating the mantra 108 times, but regularity and devotion are considered more important than the number.
