Lucknow (UP): A fire broke out at a three-story commercial building in Lucknow on Monday afternoon, prompting the fire department to launch a rescue and firefighting operation, officials said.

The fire department was alerted to the blaze at around 3 PM by a coaching institute located on Usha Mehta Marg, within the jurisdiction of the Aliganj police station, they said.

A fire department official stated that 14 fire tenders, including a hydraulic platform vehicle, were deployed to control the blaze.

No casualties have been reported so far, and there is no information indicating that anyone is trapped inside the building, the official added.

The firefighting operation remains underway, and further details are awaited, officials said.
