Bokaro (Jharkhand), May 31 (PTI): Six people have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of a 25-year-old woman in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district, police said on Sunday.
The woman was allegedly thrashed when she intervened in a dispute between two neighbours and tried to pacify them on Friday night. The woman sustained injuries and died during treatment in a Bokaro hospital on Saturday, they said.
The Jharkhand BJP claimed the woman was four months pregnant and that she was murdered. The party had called a day-long bandh in protest against the incident but withdrew it after the main accused was arrested.
